Learner Activity
Now consider this. how many hours in an average week would you say that you feel highly motivated?
For example, it might be 2 hours a day, 5 days a week, with more at the weekends, now write that number down.
Often, when we do this with people, we can get all sorts of answers. From 0-150! On average, most people say somewhere between 10-30, with those who say they are highly motivated saying 50 hours or more a week.
Whatever your number is, I want you to start with 168, and subtract your number of highly motivated hours from it. For example, 168-30 would be 138.
Now, of course, we all need to sleep, so let’s take another 50 hours off for sleep in a week So 138- 50 = 88. That is 88 hours a week of feeling unmotivated! That's a lot of hours to have to get through.
